Impressive Slate Performance

Tile features include a weather / water trap to help channel the water away and keep the water away and out of the roof. Alignment marks with spacing guides and measurements embossed on every tile indicating the reveal size and the batten spacing required for that reveal. Expansion gaps automatically created by pegs on the sides of the tiles so that the roof will not buckle in the heat.

A ¼” (6-8mm) thick underlay is automatically created with the top of the tile which is covered by the next row of tiles, effectively making the overall roof thickness ½” (16mm). This forms a formidable barrier from the elements which is also impact resistant making hail damage practically a thing of the past.
